Dogtor Yakoo and his family of caregivers/creators believe that all of his creative work should be shared and used widely by anyone who loves special needs, blind and/or deaf animals. Our collective works are educational and informative by nature, though they do contain valuable entertainment content.
People are free to use our materials and postings so long as direct, linkable attributions to our original sources are made and maintained for the duration of the use of Dogtor Yakoo’s materials.
Whatever items you make that are derived from Dogtor Yakoo’s images or materials must also carry this same, open copy protection guarantee.
Doing this requires incorporating appropriate citational links to our work or any adaptation of our work in the adapted or modified materials you produce from them. You can see an example of what a proper Creative Commons (CC) citation looks like here. Failing to do this nullifies your right to use our materials until this oversight is corrected.
We also respectfully ask those who use our works give consideration to either paying a user fee or offering a fair and just form of royalty compensation for Dogtor Yakoo’s products, likenesses, or messages, both educational and those produced specifically for entertainment value. No specific amount is mandated but it is important that users consider returning Yakoo’s value if it is possible. Dogtor Yakoo has a GoFundYakoo page, which can be accessed here.
Dogtor Yakoo produces materials — all materials — under the guidance and legal protections covered by the worldwide, open-source, public benefit enterprise arrangement known as the Creative Commons. Learn more about CC, the organization, and what it seeks to achieve here: Creative Commons: What We Do.
CC is a nonprofit organization and respectfully seeks donations to continue its global outreach and support initiatives. You can donate to CC via their website, CreativeCommons.org.

Commercial Use
Dogtor Yakoo’s materials are allowed to be used for commercial use extrapolations, in whole or in part. We, Yakoo’s creators, expect that we will be contacted via DogtorYakoo@gmail.com with consideration being given to inform us of:
- Which of our postings are to be used;
- How they may be used;
- The general purpose behind a user’s interest in our materials and productions;
- And, to the best of the licensee’s ability, their willingness to pay, immediately or in the future, a one-time use fee or some type of ongoing royalty remuneration to Dogtor Yakoo for the portions of our work they anticipate using.
Dogtor Yakoo does not wish to interrupt any artistic, educational, or informational initiatives that spring from using our educational materials to benefit special needs or blind/deaf dogs. By permitting users to pay us compensation for our products when such compensation is feasible, we simply recognize that Dogtor Yakoo’s products and efforts are important and that payment for their use is fair and just. This website has a CONTACT PAGE where you can send us a request to receive information on arranging payments – or identify yourself through gifts made on GoFundYakoo.
Dogtor Yakoo’s creators regularly support other dog and special needs efforts that seek to help animals with vision, hearing, or other sensory limitations. Portions of the money we earn from sharing the use of our materials go towards these efforts and towards helping Yakoo learn, grow, and stay in contact with the world that surrounds him. Dogtor Yakoo expects to have books, a dogumentary, interactive video lessons, and other educational materials that will be available for purchase in the near future.
